Hello Pumpkin!

Some of you may remember seeing Pumpkin as a work in progress whilst I was at the Grosvenor Centre.  She was commissioned by one of my swimming buddies and I handed her over last week.  She was really fun to make.  Tabbies are tricky for colour.  Are they grey? Are they brown?  It’s a bit like border terriers.  Initially, she did look a bit too grey but I had a big stash of buff-coloured tissue and I found a single layer over the grey worked beautifully to warm up the colour.

Those of you who came to the Grosvenor might be wondering how the figures I was working on are coming along.  TBH, the heatwave has kind of stalled things.  My workroom is upstairs and after about 10 in the morning it was just too hot to spend more than about 10 minutes in there.  I did try working outside but that was too hot as well so I’ve got some catching up to do.  I have done a little bit more on my crow – she now has one wing!  And I have another dog commission underway – I’m not entirely idle!  Better crack on though, or my display at the East Cheshire Art Fair is going to be a little sparse…
