2 weeks into my p9op-up and it feels like I’m getting into the rhythm of it.  The group project is coming on apace.  I think most people have now worked out what the painting is!  Not sure it will last the 6 weeks, so I may have to start up a new one! A lot of people have been working in pastel, though we’ve had one square done in acrylics.  Bet you can’t spot which one.  There’s also some oil pastel in there.  Oil pastels also came into play with some watercolours from one person at the Tuesday workshop, with some lovely resist experiments. I have lots of other media available so come along and have a go – creative art workshops are on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. I’ve also had a lot of people dropping in to the papier mache workshops, both first timers and some old hands. There are a couple of cats underway, also a Highland cow and our first owl! (Which is looking very fine). The next papier mache workshop will be on Monday morning – not your usual start to the week.  Friday 15th sees my bookmaking workshop. I’ll be showing you how to make a mini concertina book, decorated with found papers. I’ve been cutting the pages and boards for that this morning. I feel I’ve now earned a bit of light relief this afternoon with some papier-mache modelling and maybe the odd chocolate biscuit. Tune in again for further updates 🤣
