As well as running my workshops, being at the Grosvenor has given me a good opportunity to get on with my own work (no opportunity to wander off and be distracted by biscuits or knitting). My main achievement in my second week was to finally complete my zine. It’s part of an art project linked to Cheshire Archives. The archive are opening 2 new buildings in Crewe and Chester and they have commissioned a number of community engagement projects to mark the event. My zine is about the bike rides I took during the Covid lockdowns. It was interesting looking back at that time and seeing the strange things we had to do, and how quickly we took them for granted. I’m glad I recorded it at the time, and it’s nice to do something with it. And I was only a week late handing it in! I don’t suppose it will be acquired for the archive, but it definitely won’t if I don’t even submit it!
Now that’s finished, I’m turning my attention to the figures I’m making for the East Cheshire Art Fair. More of that next time…
