Papier Mâché with Patty!
Come to Hurdsfield Community Hub to try your hand at some papier mâché with Patty! The 6-week Tuesday afternoon workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. If you’re new to papier mâché you will learn how to make a 4-legged creature. Dog, cat, zebra, elephant – the choice is yours! If you’ve already done one of my courses then you might want to try your hand at a bird or even a human being this time. Our basic materials will be newspaper, magazines, wire and glue. We’ll be using a flour and water paste (no nasty chemicals) which can easily be made at home. You can download the recipe here, though I will supply enough for everyone, as well as wire and masking tape. The only materials you need to bring are newspapers (too bulky to carry on my bike!) – and ideally some pictures of what you’d like to make. It could be a real animal or a fantastic beast of your own devising!
