Taking Shape

The animals are really taking shape now. They dried beautifully overnight which makes them a lot easier to work on. We have quite a wilful fox and a big bruiser of a Highland cow, amongst others. The fat little pig now has nostrils and we have some beautiful blue horns for the goat. The bear has fattened up quite nicely and will soon be sporting a jaunty green hat. And the ginger cat is trotting off in a very purposeful fashion. He clearly knows where he’s going, even if the rest of us don’t. This is the really fun bit. Everyone was looking through the magazine pages this afternoon, choosing the colours they want to use. I’m getting childishly excited at the prospect of seeing them all finished tomorrow. Even the dodgy looking Herdwick I’ve been making as my demo is finally coming together – though her hefty fleece is going to take a while to dry!
