Well, that turned out to be an interesting session!! Our poor model got stuck in rail chaos at Manchester and couldn’t get to us. Too late to find a super sub so we ended up taking it in turns to draw each other (fully-clothed!) We started off deciding we hate drawing checked shirts. Then plain black was a nightmare. And stripes? Also tricky. And as for drawing that flippin’ folding chair – we were all experts by the end. It was fun, although, as usual, I found my drawings gradually deteriorated throughout the session. A big thank you to everyone for being such good sports, and coming up with such a variety of poses! And thank you to our model for his epic but ultimately fruitless attempts to reach us. I suspect we had more fun than he did… If this floats your boat, I’m actually planning a similar sort of session during my pop-up at the Grosvenor Centre. It will probably just be head and shoulders portraits as it’s a smaller space, but it should be fun – and challenging! If you fancy coming along, it will be Friday 22nd May, starting 12.30, at Unit 37 in the Grosvenor Centre in Macclesfield.

Brilliant, I am so glad it all seemed to go ok, it was a nightmare, not being able to get there,
Glad you got home safely. Looking forward to you modelling for us in June instead
